REFLECTIONS
On January 19, 2017, the Lincoln Memorial was the site of a pre-inaugural celebration. A replica of the memorial can be seen in the nearby reflection pond. But the clarity reflections is dependent upon the cleanliness of that which reflects the image.
Sin in our lives could be likened to filthiness in a reflection pool. We cannot reflect the holiness and love of God if we harbor sin in our lives.
In the Old Testament, God made a promise to the nation Israel.
If My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land (2 Chronicles 7:14).
Although this was a promise to Israel through King Solomon, by application it can apply to the United States of America. God will never bless a nation that is unwilling to “turn from their wicked ways.” We must humble ourselves, pray and seek God’s face. Only then will we be willing to reject the evil that is in our lives and our country.
Confessing of sin is like removing the dirt from a reflection pond. Only when our hearts are cleansed can we reflect the Lord to those around us.
As we inaugurate a new president, let us set aside the sin entangles us.
Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us (Hebrews 12:1).
We are a divided nation because we are focusing on what is wrong with others rather than being a reflection of God’s love and holiness.
Pray for our leaders.
First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity (1 Timothy 2:1–2).
Daniel said, “Let the name of God be blessed forever and ever, For wisdom and power belong to Him. “It is He who changes the times and the epochs; He removes kings and establishes kings; He gives wisdom to wise men And knowledge to men of understanding (Daniel 2:20–21).
If we want God to bless America, we must put aside sin and put Him first. Only then will God bless our country.

Proverbs 28:1 the wicked flee( there is fear that something or someone is going to get them) when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion( knowing that God is capable to take care of all things)
May we follow His word. Love thy enemy for he is your neighbor and we are to love him and treat him as we would want them to do to us. May the Lord make us sensitive to Our ways of sin and to His ways of Holiness, forgiveness, grace and mercy. We thank you Lord for your Holy Spirit that presides with us and within us. We thank you for those presidents that you have chosen to lead us in the past and for the one YOU have chosen to lead us now. Protect him and guide him with your angels and your spirit and bless him with your wisdom and knowledge to run this country . In Jesus’s name we Pray , Amen!!!
