BOARD OF DIRECTORS: Diana Severance, Ph. D., serves on the advisory board of "Christian History" magazine, is a consultant for Christian History Institute, and is chief writer of its bulletin insert, "Glimpses. " She is chief historian of Klein, Texas Historical Foundation. She recently authored A Cord of Three Strands, a collection of love letters of famous Christians. She teaches at LaTourneau University and the College of Biblical Studies. Gordon Severance, Ph.D., J.D., is a Fulbright Scholar and Professor Emeritus at California State College in Los Angeles and University of Nevada, Reno. He produced "Candle in the Dark", a film on the life of William Carey. He is Chairman of the Board of KNIS-FM Christian Radio (Nevada); Board member of California Baptist Seminary; and Board member of several Mission organizations. He is an adjunct professor at Houston Baptist and LeTourneau Universities. William E. Shaver is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Estate Planning consultant with Shuler & Shaver Company, a former church board member, and is active in Gideons, International. He serves on the board of several mission organizations. P. Michael Wells is President of the Houston Rodeo and Livestock Association, past Chairman of the Board of Houston Commerce Bank, and serves on the Boards of Trustees for the KHCB Christian Radio Network. R. Wayne Young, Ph.D., retired after 38 years in the aerospace industry, including the responsibility for management of business functions of the NASA Johnson Space Center. He serves as Executive in Residence at the University of Houston, Clear Lake, is a trustee at Houston Baptist University, and Advisory Board member for the Texas A&M University Extension Service. He serves on the Board of Elders for his church. Past Director: Loren E. Wood was an incorporating Director of Biblical Resources, Inc., in October 1990 and served on the Board of Directors and Advisory Board until
his death in September 2001. His work and enthusiasm for BRI were greatly appreciated. He was also a dear friend. Loren was an Engineer and Shuttle Project Manger for Rockwell International, and served on the Board of Trustees for Houston Graduate School of Theology. He was founder and coordinator of the Friendswood Community Prayer Breakfast, taught Sunday School and was a member of Gideons, International. ADVISORY BOARD: William D. Boyd, Ph.D., is President of the College of Biblical Studies in Houston, Texas. He formerly served as President of Colorado Christian College. He teaches Sunday School at both First and Second Baptist Churches in Houston, Texas. Jon M. Klubnik, a former NASA engineer and graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary, started Tandem Training where he serves as a consultant and software trainer. He has been a director of Young Life at Westbury High School in Houston for many years. He is a deacon at Second Baptist Church. J. S. Norman, Jr., is a partner and attorney-at-law with Norman & Norman, past president of Houston Home Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders, and member of the Board of Regents of Dallas Theological Seminary Ted A. Orner, an executive recruiter, is Managing Director for Russell Reynolds Associates, and has served as Chairman of the Board for Pine Cove Christian Camp. He teaches an adult Sunday School class, and has ministered with Campus Crusade for Christ's Executive Ministries, an outreach to business executives. Stanley A. Ratzlaff is former Comptroller for Southern Counties Gas Corporation. He is Chairman of the Board of the Union Rescue Mission in Los Angeles, California, and serves as a deacon at Grace Community Church in Panorama City. Peter Steigerwald, an ordained minister, is retired after thirty years as manager of KHCB Christian Radio Network. |
