Statement of Faith
1. We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments
are the divinely inspired, authoritative, and inerrant Word of God, the only
infallible rule of faith and practice (Luke 24:27; 2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Peter
1:21).
2. We believe the living and true God is one God, eternally
existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matt. 28:18-19;
Mark 12:29; 2 Cor. 13:14; Heb. 1:1-3; Acts 5:3).
3. We believe Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of
God and the second person of
the Godhead, became true man without ceasing to be God, was conceived by the
Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and continued to be undiminished deity
and perfect humanity united in one person forever. The Lord Jesus Christ
died for sins according to the Scriptures as a representative,
substitutionary, and complete sacrifice. We believe in Jesus Christ's
historical miracles, vicarious death, literal resurrection, present session
as High Priest and Advocate, premillennial rapture of the church, and
millennial reign as King of Kings (Luke 1:26-38; John 1:14; 14:6-11; Heb.
1:1-8; 1 Cor. 15:1-10; 1 John 1:7; 2:1-2; 1 Peter 3:18; Heb. 9:28; Rev.
1:5-8: Acts 1:8-12; 1 Thes. 4:13-18).
4. We believe the Holy Spirit is the divine, eternal person
whose present ministry is restraining sin in the world, and convicting the
world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. In this present age, He
regenerates believers in Christ, baptizes them into the church, the body of
Christ, indwells them permanently, seals them unto the day of redemption,
bestows spiritual gifts upon each of them, and fills those yielded to Him
(John 16:7-14; 1 Cor. 12:13; Eph. 1:13-14; Rom. 8:9; Eph. 5:18).
5. We believe the creation of man in the image of God was
followed by man's voluntary fall into sin and spiritual death resulting in
separation from God. All human beings are born with a sinful nature (Rom.
3:10-26; 1 Thes. 1:7-9; Jer. 17:9).
6. We believe salvation, based solely on the finished work
of Christ, is entirely a gift from God. All who receive by faith the Lord
Jesus Christ are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and justified on the ground
of Christ's shed blood, becoming children of God, eternally secure in Christ
(Eph. 2:8-9; Rom. 3:24).
7. We believe our Lord has given the great commission to His
Church for the evangelization of the world (Matt. 28:19-20; Acts 1:8; Mark
16:15; Luke 24:46-48; 2 Cor. 5:20).
